Introducing Gain AEO from Tilio
Tilio’s ongoing AI search visibility programme now has a name. Meet Gain AEO and see how Vantage helps you explore your brand’s position in your industry.
Gain AEO is the new name for Tilio’s ongoing AI search visibility programme. It combines strategy and practical delivery to help your brand get mentioned and recommended when buyers ask AI for advice.
For our existing clients, the service continues as agreed. Gain AEO gives that work a clear identity, bringing AI search visibility tracking, content, technical improvements and off-site work together in one monthly programme.
Alongside it, Vantage gives you a way to explore AI search visibility across your industry. You can see how your brand compares with other businesses, investigate the questions behind the results and request inclusion if your company is missing.
Together, they help connect an initial question about your visibility with a practical decision about what to do next.
What Gain AEO includes
Gain AEO helps you understand where your business appears in AI answers and work on the information that could improve that presence. The programme covers answer engine optimisation (AEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO), including:
- AI search visibility tracking. Checking how your brand appears across agreed buyer questions, engines and markets, alongside the competitors appearing in those answers.
- Strategy and priorities. Using the findings to decide which opportunities matter to your business and where the work should begin.
- Content. Improving existing pages and creating useful new material that explains your offer, answers buyers’ questions and supports your claims.
- Technical improvements. Identifying and addressing problems that make important website content difficult for search and AI systems to reach or read.
- Off-site work. Pursuing relevant opportunities on other websites, such as industry publications, directories and comparison pages, with a useful contribution and a clear reason for your business to feature.
We review the findings regularly and use them to shape the next priorities. That includes distinguishing a brand mention from a recommendation or a link to your website, so you can understand what has actually changed.
Built around your business
We start by agreeing your priorities for AI search visibility: the services or products you want people to find, the audiences you serve and the markets that matter. We then establish your starting position and agree the work to deliver.
The scope can focus on one part of your business or cover a wider set of services and markets. We can deliver the agreed work directly or coordinate with your existing marketing team, SEO agency, writers and developers.
Your monthly fee reflects the coverage, delivery and support you need. The proposal sets out what is included, who handles each part and how progress will be reviewed.
Explore your industry with Vantage
Vantage is Tilio’s public AI search visibility index. It tests buying questions each week across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, showing which companies appear in the recorded answers.
Start with an industry to see the companies measured and their relative visibility. Open a brand’s profile to explore its results by engine, see which competitors appear for questions where it is absent and follow changes as comparable weekly results become available.
The headline visibility score is the percentage of eligible answers that name the business. It measures mentions, which can include comparisons or caveats as well as recommendations. It is not a rating of the business or a measure of every AI conversation.
Compare brands within the same industry and measurement period. Each industry has its own questions, so scores from different industries are not directly comparable. The Vantage methodology explains how the figures are calculated and when changes can be compared.
From a ranking to a plan
A Vantage result can give you a useful starting point. Gain AEO provides the strategy and ongoing work to investigate the opportunities relevant to your business.
For example, imagine your business appears in broad supplier searches but is missing when the questions ask about a service you specialise in. The useful next step is to examine those answers and the information available about your business.
We would check whether your website explains that specialism clearly, whether buyers can find a relevant project example and whether the external sources cited in the answers describe an older or narrower version of your offer.
Depending on what we find, the priority might be to improve a service page, publish a documented case study or approach a relevant publisher with an update. An absence gives us something to investigate. The evidence determines the action.
The work should support the buying decisions that matter to you. The questions we track for you reflect those priorities and may be more specific than the public industry benchmark.
Vantage’s measurement remains separate from Tilio’s client work. Becoming a Gain AEO client does not buy inclusion or a higher ranking. Every eligible company in an industry is measured against the same answers.
Where to start
If you cannot find your business, you can request your brand’s inclusion. Share your company name, website and industry, with a brief explanation of what you sell and who you serve. You can also suggest an industry that is not yet covered.
Requests are reviewed before the company list is updated. An accepted addition is measured from the next scan. Inclusion is free, and you do not need to become a Tilio client.
A missing listing means the company has not been measured in that industry. A recorded score of zero means it was measured but did not appear in the eligible answers. Those are different starting points.
Explore your industry in Vantage if you want an initial view of where your brand stands. If you want help deciding what to improve and getting the work done, talk to us about Gain AEO.
We’ll discuss your priorities and put together a scope for the ongoing support you need. The aim is stronger visibility in the answers that matter to your buyers, supported by a clear plan and regular review.
