We sometimes get asked what Tilio actually does. Here’s our easy summary of what we do and how we can help you win AI search.

Right now, most brands have little idea about what ChatGPT, Claude or Google's AI Overviews say about them. Are you mentioned? Are you cited as a source? Are you recommended when someone asks a question your product or service answers? Are your competitors showing up instead?

We answer that.

Using best-in-class software we track how your brand appears across the AI platforms people are actually using to make decisions.

Real data on citations, mentions and visibility, and how that compares to the brands you're competing with for attention across a set of tracked prompts. By this point, we’ve essentially arrived at AEO/GEO base camp.

We tell you what to do about it

Data on its own is cool, but how can it make a real impact?

The second part of what we do is turning that visibility data into a clear view of what's actually driving or blocking your presence in AI answers, and what to prioritise.

That might be structural, how your site is built, what schema you're using, whether your content is even readable by these models.

It might be about gaps, topics and questions your buyers are asking that you haven't answered anywhere, in a way an AI model would pick up and cite.

It might be about authority, whether the sources these models trust are talking about you at all.

We give you a straight assessment and a prioritised set of recommendations. Honest about what matters and what doesn't.

We act on it, if and where you want us to

Some clients take the data and run with it internally.

Others want us more involved.

That's where content creation and execution come in, whether that's us writing the content that fills the gaps we've identified, or working with our established network of partners/providers to secure genuine third-party placements that carry weight with these models because they come from sources AI actually trusts.

We're not a PR agency and we don't do vague brand awareness campaigns. Everything we build or place is aimed at one thing: getting your brand cited and mentioned in the answers to the questions that actually matter to your business.

FAQs

How do you actually do it?

We start with the data: where you're being cited, mentioned or recommended across AI platforms, and where you're not. From there we look at the source ecosystem, the sites, publications and third-party pages these models are actually pulling from and trusting, and work out where your brand needs to show up that it currently doesn't. Once we know that, we either hand you the roadmap or get hands-on with content and placements to close the gaps ourselves.

What's the source ecosystem and why does it matter?

AI models don't just crawl your website. They lean heavily on a smaller set of trusted third-party sources, publications, forums, review sites, industry pages, when forming an answer. If you're absent from that ecosystem, it doesn't matter how good your own site is. Part of our job is mapping that ecosystem for your sector and finding the routes into it.

Do you just run one audit, or is this ongoing?

Depends what you need. AI search moves fast and models get retrained, so a one-off audit gives you a snapshot, not a strategy. Most clients who see real movement in citations and mentions treat this as ongoing, tracking changes month to month and adjusting. But if you only want the initial analysis, that's a legitimate starting point too.

Will you write our content, or just tell us what to write?

Either. Some clients want the analysis and a clear brief, then their own team or agency executes it. Others want us to write it directly, or bring in Noble where a genuine third-party placement will carry more weight than something published on your own site. We'll tell you honestly which route makes more sense for what you're trying to fix.
